G-34 Accessibility Standards for Information and Communication

The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities have the same opportunity of access to our services as do all others we serve. The DSBN is committed to meeting the accessibility needs of people with disabilities, in a timely manner, in the provision of services related to information and communications.

DSBN will provide or arrange for the provision of accessible formats and communication supports for persons with disabilities. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • providing educational or training resources or materials in an accessible format that takes into account the accessibility needs due to the disability of the person;
  • providing student records and information on program requirements, availability and descriptions in an accessible format to persons with disabilities;
  • ensuring that DSBN’s internet and intranet websites and web content conform with the World Wide Web Consortium Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, at Level A.
